Out of School Hours Care
GOSH: Glenferrie Out of School Hours Program:
Glenferrie Primary Out of School Hours Program is referred to as G.O.S.H. (The House) We are situated on the school grounds just a short walk across the oval. The children are able to access the house without going outside the school grounds.
Years 3, 4, 5 & 6’s walk themselves over to the house once school is finished. Years Prep, 1 & 2’s are collected by a leader from the Junior School shelter sheds at 3.30pm.
Once the children arrive at the house can choose from a wide selection of foods for afternoon tea, such as: apple, orange, watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries, carrot, celery, bananas. Bread which the children can pick their own spreads or filling to make a sandwich, biscuits, chips, toasted sandwiches, and many more things. We provide milk and water all afternoon. We also sometimes have ice poles on hot afternoons.
We then have a meeting, where all the children meet and a leader informs them what is happening for the day e.g. what activities that are on offer and what movie we are going to watch.
At about 5.30pm everything starts to get packed away and we all sit in the front room and do quite activities.
On a school Curriculum Day, G.O.S.H. provides care from 7.30am to 6pm. We run a full day program and the cost will vary depending on activities that are planned.
During school holidays, OSH Club (9543 3077) provide a holiday program. You will find that a lot of staff from G.O.S.H works at this program with some additional staff. All booking and communication for the holiday program is to be done through the company. I can’t take any bookings here until the program starts.
If you have any other questions please feel free to call over to the house between 7.30 - 8.45am or 3 - 6pm or call Jodie on 9819 4291.
